PETITION TO RECOGNIZE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE TO BE HANDED TO EU EMBASSY IN MONTEVIDEO
A petition signed by thousands will be passed to European Union embassy in Montevideo on October 3, Noyan Tapan reported.
The petition, urging Turkey to admit to the Armenian Genocide, was initiated by Lilian Keshishian, the first ethnic Armenian member of the Uruguay Parliament, and various Armenian organizations. Diego Karamanukian, the director of Uruguay's Radio Armenia said the petition was also signed by Uruguay vice-presidents, ministers and PM's.
